The 2020 was coolish but very long, giving us red wines that are quite generous and supple while retaining solid acidities and fruit definition. We bottled this a few months later than usual and we think the extra spring months in barrel have helped to make this very approachable already.
Dark/purply/ruby and very vibrant showing tar and dark berry fruit along with lilacs and fennel. The palate is softer and more fruit driven than the 2019 (more like 2014) with sweet game, soil and black cherry. Ripe but present tannins and trademark refreshing acidity carry the long finish. While very easy to enjoy now this really has the stuffing to be one to watch over the next decade. Please decant.
